The Federal Real Property Association (FRPA) is soliciting interest from members to serve on the Board of Directors for 2012.  The positions available include:

President (2 year term)
Overall responsibility for FRPA management
Responsible for charter, by-laws, city regulations, etc. for FRPA
Responsible for general coordination of monthly programs, annual conference
Responsible for election of officers

Vice President – Membership (2 year term)
Responsible for keeping current membership data current
Responsible for tracking individuals involved with corporate/agency membership
Responsible for coordinating efforts to attract new membership – both public and private sector
Responsible for assisting with annual conference

Secretary (2 year term)
Responsible for meeting minutes
Responsible for maintaining history/archives of FRPA
Responsible for assisting with annual conference

Government Liaison – Gov’t Employee Only (2 year term)

Responsible for interaction between Government agencies and FRPA

Responsible for promoting FRPA to Government agencies and Employees

Responsible for assisting with Annual Conference

Please note:  Elections for 2 year terms for Treasurer and Vice President of Programs will be held for 2013.

Requirements: Must be a current member of FRPA in good standing.

 

Please provide a “Candidate Statement” on why you should be elected for the desired position.

 

All interested parties should submit their information no later than January 27th at 12:00pm.  Ballots will go out to the membership on the afternoon of the January 30th. Results will be finalized on the February10th, with notification made on February 13th and Announcement at the February Lunch on the 14th.

The Federal Real Property Association is a 501(c)(3) non-profit community of Federal property asset managers and real estate professional working together to solve today’s asset management and workplace challenges. As part of its on-going mission, the Federal Real Property Association (FRPA) supports and promotes professionalism among real property executives, managers and vendors in the public and private sectors. FRPA membership includes Individual, Corporate and Agency membership. FRPA is a 100% voluntary organization. All Board Members and Conference Chairs have full time jobs outside of the FRPA organizations.
